In Loving Memory of Nola “Jean” Cox

Nola “Jean” Cox

Nola “Jean” Cox was born November 23, 1932 in Harlan, KY and spent her last wonderful years surrounded by her family in Mt. Carmel, OH.  A devoted Christian for most of her life, Jean went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2016.  Jean was a loving wife and mother, and a faith-filled church mother to the Full Gospel House of Refuge located in Mt. Carmel.  She lived her life as a beacon of light, shining brightly to bring others to our savior Jesus Christ.

Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Andrew J. “AJ” Cox; loving son, Danny R. Cox; two brothers, Kenneth and Silas Barnes; and three sisters, Della Sutton, Maureen Frost, and Lola Rogers.

Jean leaves behind a legacy of love to her son, Rev. Robert Cox; two daughters, Shirley Patterson and Sharon (Jerry) Hall; grandsons, Charles (Rachel) Patterson, Jason  Patterson, Jerry Andrew and Robert Daniel Hall; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Chandler, Dawson, and Dillon; a host of church family and many special friends including her caregivers, Della Cable and Sue Collins.

Friday, March 25th from 5:00pm – 9:00pm
Home Going Service:
Saturday, March 26th at 11:00am

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her home church, The Full Gospel House of Refuge.

Just a Reminder!

The clothing giveaway scheduled for tomorrow (Sat. 3/19) has been cancelled until further notice.  We hope to have it some time near the end of April / beginning of May, but we’ll you let you know as soon as the new date is confirmed.

You can find the link on our website:  click on the “Events” tab near the top of the page and then click on “Church Services” in the dropdown list.

The link on that page will open a new window in YouTube on our channel.  You don’t even have to search for it!  There are only about seven services (18 videos) out there right now, with new ones being added frequently.

Communion will be offered this Sunday, 2/28/16.

Church Directory

Photos for the church directory will be taken the first Sunday in March (3/6) immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall.  If you need to update your contact information, a copy of the directory will be available at that time for review/edits.

Church Ministries Meeting – Sunday, 2/28

Just a Reminder!

There will be a church ministries meeting tomorrow (Sun. 2/28) for everyone who’s involved with any of the church’s ministries.

Where:  Fellowship Hall
When:   Immediately after service

The topics we’ll be discussing include: reviewing the new plans for the church’s ministries, an organizational chart, new forms and policies, and a vote on regularly scheduled meetings.

Anyone who is interested in being a part of the church’s ministries may attend as well, as we have a few open positions.  Your contact information and the ministry you are interested in serving will be gathered at the meeting for Pastor Cox’s review/approval.
