Nola “Jean” Cox

Nola “Jean” Cox was born November 23, 1932 in Harlan, KY and spent her last wonderful years surrounded by her family in Mt. Carmel, OH. A devoted Christian for most of her life, Jean went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2016. Jean was a loving wife and mother, and a faith-filled church mother to the Full Gospel House of Refuge located in Mt. Carmel. She lived her life as a beacon of light, shining brightly to bring others to our savior Jesus Christ.
Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Andrew J. “AJ” Cox; loving son, Danny R. Cox; two brothers, Kenneth and Silas Barnes; and three sisters, Della Sutton, Maureen Frost, and Lola Rogers.
Jean leaves behind a legacy of love to her son, Rev. Robert Cox; two daughters, Shirley Patterson and Sharon (Jerry) Hall; grandsons, Charles (Rachel) Patterson, Jason Patterson, Jerry Andrew and Robert Daniel Hall; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Chandler, Dawson, and Dillon; a host of church family and many special friends including her caregivers, Della Cable and Sue Collins.
